This artwork by David LaChapelle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2016. In the Photographs auction, the work Courtney Love: Pieta, 2006 sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 16,311.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David LaChapelle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Addicted to Diamonds, 1997, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 35,884.60).

Für andere Arbeiten von David LaChapelle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Addicted to Diamonds, 1997 beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 35.884,60) versteigert wurde.
