Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Keeling could be acquired at Christies in Sydney in August 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work Gate changed hands for AUD 1,175.00 (€ 694.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Keeling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work End of The Road, 2002 in May last year with an auction result of AUD 17,220.00 (€ 16,046.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Keeling konnte im August 2003 bei Christies in Sydney für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS wechselte die Arbeit Gate für AUD 1.175,00 (€ 694,13) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Keeling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit End of The Road, 2002 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 17.220,00 (€ 16.046,97).
