Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Through This Gate by David Keeling was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in June 2002. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 12,925.00 (€ 7,380.47). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Keeling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work End of The Road, 2002, which sold at auction in May last year for AUD 17,220.00 (€ 16,046.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Through This Gate von David Keeling kam im Juni 2002 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 12.925,00 (€ 7.380,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von David Keeling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit End of The Road, 2002 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für AUD 17.220,00 (€ 16.046,97) versteigert wurde.
