The work Blue Skies (Triptych) by David Keeling was sold in the CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2001. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 4,465.00 (€ 2,564.08), 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by David Keeling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work End of The Road, 2002 in May last year with an auction result of AUD 17,220.00 (€ 16,046.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Blue Skies (Triptych) von David Keeling wurde im April 2001 in der Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 4.465,00 (€ 2.564,08) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Keeling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit End of The Road, 2002 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 17.220,00 (€ 16.046,97).
