Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Chester Play of The Deluge 8 by David Jones was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 510.00 (€ 580.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crucifixion in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,615.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Chester Play of The Deluge 8 von David Jones kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 510,00 (€ 580,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crucifixion im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.615,78).
