It achieved a price of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 35,164.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crucifixion, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,615.78).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 35.164,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Für andere Arbeiten von David Jones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crucifixion beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.615,78) versteigert wurde.
