This artwork by David Jones achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October last year. In the Churchill to Eden: The Collection of the Earl and Countess of Avon auction, the work Untitled (Flowers With Thorns) sold for GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,348.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crucifixion in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,615.78).

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Jones erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Churchill to Eden: The Collection of the Earl and Countess of Avon wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Flowers With Thorns) für GBP 2.016,00 (€ 2.348,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crucifixion im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.615,78).
