Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work View Towards The River by David Jones was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,380.00 (€ 18,285.61). Admittedly, works by David Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Crucifixion in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,615.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit View Towards The River von David Jones wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.380,00 (€ 18.285,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Crucifixion im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.615,78).
