Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Spring On The Bronx by David Johnson for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,576.24). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View From New Windsor, Hudson River in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 722,500.00 (€ 584,357.81).
