Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work A country lane by David Farquharson for GBP 357.00 (€ 406.16). This price was achieved in the auction Pictures and Prints Online at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Farquharson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Morning Breeze, Dordrecht in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 24,079.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A country lane von David Farquharson für GBP 357,00 (€ 406,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures and Prints Online bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Farquharson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Morning Breeze, Dordrecht im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.730,00 (€ 24.079,07).
