This artwork by David Farquharson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2015. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Wharton Village, Near Lancaster sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 8,011.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Farquharson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Morning Breeze, Dordrecht, which sold at auction in October 2004 for GBP 16,730.00 (€ 24,079.07).

In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Wharton Village, Near Lancaster für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 8.011,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Farquharson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Morning Breeze, Dordrecht beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für GBP 16.730,00 (€ 24.079,07) versteigert wurde.
