Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Fishing pool on the Dee; and Bridge of Don, with St Machar's beyond by David Farquharson was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2012. It achieved a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,851.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by David Farquharson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Morning Breeze, Dordrecht in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 24,079.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Fishing pool on the Dee; and Bridge of Don, with St Machar's beyond von David Farquharson kam im November 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.851,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Farquharson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Morning Breeze, Dordrecht im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.730,00 (€ 24.079,07).
