This artwork by David Diao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in March 2018. In the First Open | Hong Kong auction, the work Little Suprematist Prison #24 sold for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 12,279.83) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Diao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twin Dragons in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 143,062.16).

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Diao erzielte im März 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open | Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit Little Suprematist Prison #24 für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 12.279,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Diao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twin Dragons im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 143.062,16).
