It achieved a price of AUD 20,315.00 (€ 12,218.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 69%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Boyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monoliths, 1962, which sold at auction in May last year for AUD 51,045.00 (€ 47,567.79).
