Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Six Plates, from Prison Fantasies (6 works) by David Alfaro Siqueiros was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,280.00 (€ 1,180.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Alfaro Siqueiros achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 425,000.00 (€ 385,697.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Six Plates, from Prison Fantasies (6 works) von David Alfaro Siqueiros kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.280,00 (€ 1.180,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Alfaro Siqueiros erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 425.000,00 (€ 385.697,43).
