Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Prison Fantasies: Portfolios I and II (12 works) by David Alfaro Siqueiros was sold in the Prints & Multiples Summer Splash auction at Bonhams in New York in August last year. The price achieved of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,786.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Alfaro Siqueiros achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 425,000.00 (€ 385,697.43).

Die Arbeit Prison Fantasies: Portfolios I and II (12 works) von David Alfaro Siqueiros wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples Summer Splash bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.786,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Alfaro Siqueiros erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 425.000,00 (€ 385.697,43).
