Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Muerte al Invasor by David Alfaro Siqueiros was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,140.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Alfaro Siqueiros achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 425,000.00 (€ 385,697.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Muerte al Invasor von David Alfaro Siqueiros kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.140,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Alfaro Siqueiros erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 425.000,00 (€ 385.697,43).
