Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Children on the beach by David Adolph Constant Artz was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,625.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Adolph Constant Artz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work First love in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 87,765.00 (€ 42,124.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Children on the beach von David Adolph Constant Artz im November 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.625,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Adolph Constant Artz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit First love im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 87.765,00 (€ 42.124,30).
