Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Portrait of a young man, half-length, wearing a blue coat with gold braid by Daniel Gardner. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,511.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Gardner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Mary Whitbread, Later Lady Grey (1770-1858) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 233,000.00 (€ 330,315.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a young man, half-length, wearing a blue coat with gold braid von Daniel Gardner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.511,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel Gardner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Mary Whitbread, Later Lady Grey (1770-1858) im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 233.000,00 (€ 330.315,74).
