Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Sir John Wrottesley Bt. (1744-1787), full-length in a red coat, leaning on a wall by Daniel Gardner was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,350.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Gardner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Mary Whitbread, Later Lady Grey (1770-1858) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 233,000.00 (€ 330,315.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Sir John Wrottesley Bt. (1744-1787), full-length in a red coat, leaning on a wall von Daniel Gardner wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert.
