Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Viscount Castlereagh, small full-length, in gold coat and black cape, standing in a wooded landscape by Daniel Gardner was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction at Christies in London in July 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,606.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Gardner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Mary Whitbread, Later Lady Grey (1770-1858) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 233,000.00 (€ 330,315.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Viscount Castlereagh, small full-length, in gold coat and black cape, standing in a wooded landscape von Daniel Gardner wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna bei Christies in London versteigert.
