Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Portrait of the sculptor Anne Seymour Damer (1748-1828) by Daniel Gardner. The price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 29,552.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Gardner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Mary Whitbread, Later Lady Grey (1770-1858) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 233,000.00 (€ 330,315.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of the sculptor Anne Seymour Damer (1748-1828) von Daniel Gardner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 29.552,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel Gardner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Mary Whitbread, Later Lady Grey (1770-1858) im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 233.000,00 (€ 330.315,74).
