The work Guggenheim Tondo by Dan Flavin was auctioned at Phillips in London in January last year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,265.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Flavin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alternate Diagonals Of March 2, 1964 (To Don Judd) in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,255,865.10).

Die Arbeit Guggenheim Tondo von Dan Flavin kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.265,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dan Flavin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alternate Diagonals Of March 2, 1964 (To Don Judd) im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.077.000,00 (€ 2.255.865,10).
