Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lullaby by Damien Hirst was sold in the Important Prints & Multiples Including Property from the Collection of Catherine Woodard and Nelson Blitz, Jr. auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,512.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lullaby von Damien Hirst wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Important Prints & Multiples Including Property from the Collection of Catherine Woodard and Nelson Blitz, Jr. bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
