Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Temple Entrance Nikko by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,177.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cats And Orchids in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Temple Entrance Nikko von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.177,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cats And Orchids im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86).
