Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lily and cat by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,753.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cats And Orchids in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lily and cat von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.753,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cats And Orchids im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86).
