Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pigeon Houses, Mykonos by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder was sold in the Blazing a TrailModern British Women auction at Bonhams in London in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,376.00 (€ 5,376.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cats And Orchids in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).
