In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Cats And Orchids by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86), 24% above the upper estimate. With this result, Cats And Orchids is even the most expensive work of art by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cats And Orchids von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86) und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Cats And Orchids sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
