This artwork by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Bathers and Rocks sold for GBP 2,816.00 (€ 3,233.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cats And Orchids in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Bathers and Rocks für GBP 2.816,00 (€ 3.233,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cats And Orchids im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86).
