Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Mountain Retreat by Dai Benxiao. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 540,000.00 (€ 54,239.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Dai Benxiao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Travel Inspiration Of Mount Huangshan in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 396,500.00 (€ 370,630.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Retreat von Dai Benxiao zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 540.000,00 (€ 54.239,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dai Benxiao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Travel Inspiration Of Mount Huangshan im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 396.500,00 (€ 370.630,02).
