Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2010 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Victim Imagining Victims # 1 by Dadang Christanto. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,248.02), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dadang Christanto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heads With Silver, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 450,000.00 (€ 45,773.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Victim Imagining Victims # 1 von Dadang Christanto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.248,02) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dadang Christanto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heads With Silver beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 450.000,00 (€ 45.773,54) versteigert wurde.
