Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included this untitled work by Dadang Christanto. The price achieved of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 10,961.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dadang Christanto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heads With Silver in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 450,000.00 (€ 45,773.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Dadang Christanto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 10.961,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dadang Christanto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heads With Silver im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 450.000,00 (€ 45.773,54).
