Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Pilgrim Series by Dadang Christanto for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,873.17). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dadang Christanto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heads With Silver, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 450,000.00 (€ 45,773.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pilgrim Series von Dadang Christanto für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.873,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dadang Christanto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heads With Silver beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 450.000,00 (€ 45.773,54) versteigert wurde.
