Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Bunga (Flower) by Dadang Christanto. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 84,000.00 (€ 8,437.31), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Dadang Christanto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heads With Silver in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 450,000.00 (€ 45,773.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bunga (Flower) von Dadang Christanto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 84.000,00 (€ 8.437,31) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dadang Christanto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heads With Silver im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 450.000,00 (€ 45.773,54).
