Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I Am A Rock by Dadang Christanto was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 11,624.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 140,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dadang Christanto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heads With Silver, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 450,000.00 (€ 45,773.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit I Am A Rock von Dadang Christanto kam im April 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 11.624,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 140.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dadang Christanto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heads With Silver beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 450.000,00 (€ 45.773,54) versteigert wurde.
