Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work The Virgin Presenting Saint Nicholas To The Holy Trinity by Corrado Giaquinto for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,299.29). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Corrado Giaquinto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. in March 2008 with an auction result of CHF 408,000.00 (€ 260,185.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Virgin Presenting Saint Nicholas To The Holy Trinity von Corrado Giaquinto für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 47.299,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Corrado Giaquinto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 408.000,00 (€ 260.185,51).
