Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Immaculate Conception With The Prophet Elijah by Corrado Giaquinto was sold in the Master Paintings Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 212,500.00 (€ 196,177.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
