Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Drawings, which included the work Saint John the Baptist by Corrado Giaquinto. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,635.04). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Corrado Giaquinto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. in March 2008 with an auction result of CHF 408,000.00 (€ 260,185.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint John the Baptist von Corrado Giaquinto zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.635,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Corrado Giaquinto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 408.000,00 (€ 260.185,51).
