Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work Mary Magdalen and an Angel by Corrado Giaquinto. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,140.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Corrado Giaquinto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. in March 2008 with an auction result of CHF 408,000.00 (€ 260,185.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mary Magdalen and an Angel von Corrado Giaquinto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 2.140,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Corrado Giaquinto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 408.000,00 (€ 260.185,51).
