Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Allegory of Peace and Fortitude by Corrado Giaquinto was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,823.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Corrado Giaquinto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. in March 2008 with an auction result of CHF 408,000.00 (€ 260,185.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Allegory of Peace and Fortitude von Corrado Giaquinto kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.823,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Corrado Giaquinto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 408.000,00 (€ 260.185,51).
