Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Igor Stravinsky, Venice, 1951 by Cornell Capa. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,040.00 (€ 3,972.57). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornell Capa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bolshoi Ballet School, Moscow, which sold at auction in October 2015 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,188.37).
