Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in Milan held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale, which included the work John F. Kennedy, Washington D.C. by Cornell Capa. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,890.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cornell Capa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bolshoi Ballet School, Moscow in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,188.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit John F. Kennedy, Washington D.C. von Cornell Capa zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.890,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornell Capa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bolshoi Ballet School, Moscow im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.188,37).
