The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,875.00 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Vreedenburgh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loosdrechtse Plassen in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 99,875.00 (€ 48,004.59).

Die Arbeit October morgen: the Ridderzaal in The Hague von Cornelis Vreedenburgh wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century & Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.875,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Vreedenburgh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loosdrechtse Plassen im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 99.875,00 (€ 48.004,59).
