In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A view of the Oosterkerk with the Sint Nicolaas church in the distance, Amsterdam by Cornelis Vreedenburgh. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 15,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Vreedenburgh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Loosdrechtse Plassen, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 99,875.00 (€ 48,004.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the Oosterkerk with the Sint Nicolaas church in the distance, Amsterdam von Cornelis Vreedenburgh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 15.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Vreedenburgh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Loosdrechtse Plassen beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 99.875,00 (€ 48.004,59) versteigert wurde.
