In June 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Figures on the bridge at the Prins Hendrikkade, Amsterdam, the Stromarkt and the Koepelkerk beyond by Cornelis Vreedenburgh. The result of EUR 20,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Vreedenburgh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Loosdrechtse Plassen, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 99,875.00 (€ 48,004.59).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures on the bridge at the Prins Hendrikkade, Amsterdam, the Stromarkt and the Koepelkerk beyond von Cornelis Vreedenburgh zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 20.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Vreedenburgh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Loosdrechtse Plassen beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 99.875,00 (€ 48.004,59) versteigert wurde.
