Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Cabbage rose, white rose, Austrian copper briar, peony, hyacinths, golden narcissus, lilac, pale iris, poppy anemone, auricula and opium poppy in a marble urn on a marble ledge with pomegranates and black grapes by Cornelis van Spaendonck. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,837.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis van Spaendonck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 114,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cabbage rose, white rose, Austrian copper briar, peony, hyacinths, golden narcissus, lilac, pale iris, poppy anemone, auricula and opium poppy in a marble urn on a marble ledge with pomegranates and black grapes von Cornelis van Spaendonck zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.837,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis van Spaendonck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 114.000,00.
