Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES AND OBJECTS OF VERTU, which included the work A Still Life of Flowers In A Basket On A Ledge Including Old Roses, Chrysanthemums And Acanthus Leaves by Cornelis van Spaendonck. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,392.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis van Spaendonck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 114,000.00.

Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES AND OBJECTS OF VERTU durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life of Flowers In A Basket On A Ledge Including Old Roses, Chrysanthemums And Acanthus Leaves von Cornelis van Spaendonck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.392,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis van Spaendonck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Flower Still Life With Roses, Tulips, Peonies And Other Flowers In A Vase im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 114.000,00.
