In December 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings, which included the work A pigeon hanging from a blue ribbon with other birds in a trompe-l'oeil stone niche by Cornelis Lelienbergh. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,625.00 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Lelienbergh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bittern (Roerdomp) in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,311.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A pigeon hanging from a blue ribbon with other birds in a trompe-l'oeil stone niche von Cornelis Lelienbergh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.625,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Lelienbergh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Bittern (Roerdomp) im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 108.311,08).
