It achieved a price of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,285.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Lelienbergh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Bittern (Roerdomp), which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,311.08).

Die Arbeit A hare, a duck and a partridge with a wicker basket of pears, a cabbage, parsnips, artichokes on a stone ledge in a kitchen interior von Cornelis Lelienbergh wurde im Dezember 2005 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 31.200,00 (€ 45.285,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Lelienbergh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Bittern (Roerdomp) beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 85.250,00 (€ 108.311,08) versteigert wurde.
