In December 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections, which included the work A pigeon hanging, with two goldfinches and a green cloth on a stone ledge by Cornelis Lelienbergh. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,375.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Lelienbergh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bittern (Roerdomp) in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,311.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit A pigeon hanging, with two goldfinches and a green cloth on a stone ledge von Cornelis Lelienbergh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.375,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Lelienbergh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Bittern (Roerdomp) im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 108.311,08).
